Jaxon Grossman brings power stuff, JUCO polish, and a bounce-back edge to OU
Jaxon Grossman, a 6-foot-4, 227-pound junior right-hander from Haiku, Hawaii, arrives at Oklahoma after a winding path that includes Utah, Salt Lake CC, and a 2025 MLB Draft selection by the Rangers. In the 2025 season at Salt Lake CC, he went 6-0 with a 5.15 ERA, 55 strikeouts, and just 18 walks in 50 2/3 innings, flashing swing-and-miss ability and real toughness in big games, including pitcher of the tournament at the JUCO national championship. His appeal is the upside: size, arm strength, and a competitive profile that suggests he can help a contender if OU can sharpen the command.
