Big-bodied Ball State WR still looking for a breakthrough
Trey Firestone is a 6-foot-3, 209-pound redshirt sophomore wideout for Ball State with the kind of size coaches love for boundary catches and contested-ball work, but his college production has been almost nonexistent so far. He transferred from Purdue after limited action there, then sustained a leg injury in Ball State’s 2024 opener against Missouri State and was sidelined the rest of that season; reports later listed him as out indefinitely in 2025. If you want a developmental receiver with frame and upside, he’s interesting; if you need an immediate impact pass-catcher, the résumé is still very thin.
