a tough, veteran Toledo O-lineman with real early-2000s punch
Tim Dirksen was a 2001-03 Toledo offensive lineman who earned all-time letterwinner status and battled through a serious 2001 knee injury that cost him most of that season, then returned to remain part of the Rockets’ front line. In the 2001 season, Toledo’s spring preview singled him out as one of the young players with quick development potential, and later game notes list him at guard/tackle, suggesting positional versatility and team-first flexibility. For a coach, that combination of size, resilience, and adaptability is exactly the kind of glue guy you want up front.
