Gabe Fields brings SEC-ready size, burst, and production to Vanderbilt’s backfield
Fields is a 6-foot, 200-pound running back with proven high-school production, including 1,396 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns in 2023, plus receiving value and track speed that hint at versatility. He entered Vanderbilt as a strong all-around athlete, with 11.57 100-meter speed, a 4.0 GPA, and a background in basketball and track, and he already flashed briefly in college by appearing in two games and logging five carries in 2025. He fits as a physical, multi-sport back who can help in space and on passing downs, though his collegiate role is still developing.[1][2][6][8]
