Austin Davis brings steady, assignment-sound production to Illinois State’s linebacker room
Austin Davis has been a reliable, physical strong-side linebacker for Illinois State, finishing his latest season with **75 tackles** and **35 solo stops** while starting all 11 games; that kind of volume production suggests a player who is dependable, active, and comfortable playing downhill. He stands out more for consistency, toughness, and football IQ than flash, which makes him a good fit for teams that value discipline, run support, and sound tackling over highlight-reel chaos.
