versatile Jacksonville State safety with steady CFB pedigree
Smith is listed as a **safety** for Jacksonville State and gives the Gamecocks a defensive back with a recognizable college profile rather than a mystery project. ESPN’s roster page identifies him at the position, while Jacksonville State’s 2025 team success suggests he is part of a competitive, physical program that values athletic defensive backs. Based on the available public info, the main appeal is **fit and versatility**: he profiles as a player who can help a secondary that needs reliable coverage, open-field tackling, and back-end communication more than flashy box-score production.
