Former Michigan State EDGE with flashes, but limited recent on-field résumé
Chaney is a 6-foot-4, 245-pound defensive end/EDGE whose best selling point is a disruptive first-step motor: in his only 2024 game for Michigan State, he made two tackles with 1.5 tackles for loss on just five snaps, but he did not appear in 2025 and was listed as an Academic All-Big Ten selection. He was a productive high school defender at Detroit Catholic Central and entered the cycle as a developmental pass-rush prospect, but the lack of recent game action makes him more of a long-term upside bet than an immediate plug-and-play fit.
