a physical, high-upside DB with proven college production
Cam Thomas has built a reputation as an active, disruptive defensive back whose game is driven by effort, tackling, and playmaking instincts rather than flash. The most reliable recent college data available in the search results is from his San Diego State career, where over his final 17 games (three in 2020 and 14 in 2021) he produced 98 tackles, 28.0 tackles for loss, 14 sacks, and 26 quarterback hurries—rare impact numbers for a defensive back-style defender. If Western Kentucky is looking for a tough, versatile defender who can attack the backfield and bring edge, he’s a strong fit.
