Jalen Russell brings proven ball production and back-end versatility
Russell has shown he can make real impact plays in the secondary, with 45 total tackles, 3 interceptions for 99 return yards, and a blocked kick in 2024 at Post University, while earlier at Southern Utah he logged 14 tackles across eight games in 2021. That profile suggests a corner who plays with urgency, can close on the ball, and adds special-teams value—useful traits for a team looking for a competitive, assignment-sound defensive back rather than just a coverage specialist. His lighter frame and college path across programs make him more of a fit-based evaluation than a pure stat chase.
