Reliable depth piece with special-teams value and steady DB size
Isaiah Newcombe has been a dependable rotational defensive back for UCLA, appearing in 10 games in both the 2022 and 2023 seasons while contributing on special teams and flashing a season-best three tackles in the 2023 win over North Carolina Central. At 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, he brings good length for the position and a ready-made frame for coverage and run support. The bigger takeaway: he’s the kind of high-floor, low-drama depth defender coaches like to trust—useful if your team wants size, versatility, and a player who does the dirty work.
