Arkansas’ do-it-all freshman engine with NBA-sized upside
In the 2022-23 season, Black was Arkansas’ most valuable all-around creator: 12.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists and a freshman-record 74 steals, while starting all 36 games and logging huge minutes. He mattered beyond box scores because he defended like a menace, handled the ball with poise, and impacted winning even when his shot wasn’t fully polished. The flip side: the jumper was still a work in progress, but the long, intelligent, high-motor profile made him a terrific fit for teams wanting a versatile, disruptive guard who can tilt the floor.
