Nevada’s do-it-all QB who helped ignite the Wolf Pack’s rise
Jeff Rowe was a four-year starter for Nevada and a defining piece of the program’s mid-2000s surge, helping the Wolf Pack win their first WAC title in 2005 and earning team MVP honors in 2006[2]. In the 2006 season, he threw for 1,907 yards and 17 touchdowns, and across his Nevada career he ranked among the school’s all-time leaders in passing yards, completions, attempts, and touchdowns[4][2]. His differentiator was toughness and versatility: he was the first Nevada quarterback to run the Pistol, could make plays with his legs, and played through a high-workload, sack-heavy offense with real poise[5][11].
