Justin Hughes brings veteran linebacker punch to South Carolina State
Justin Hughes profiles as a seasoned, physical linebacker whose value goes beyond box-score tackles: South Carolina State listed him on its roster in the early 2010s, and in a 2012 season opener he posted 8 tackles and 2 sacks, showing the kind of downhill disruption coaches love[1][2]. He also drew attention as a team-high tackler in later FCS coverage, reinforcing a reputation for steady production and reliability in the middle of a defense[3]. If you want a tough, assignment-sound defender who can set the tone, Hughes is the kind of fit that makes an opponent’s Monday film session sting a little.
