Brandon Ratcliff brings proven playmaking to the Lobo secondary
Brandon Ratcliff is remembered as a high-impact New Mexico safety who earned first-team All-Mountain West honors in 2002 and 2003, and he stood out for both ball production and versatility, tying for the team lead in interceptions as a junior (3) and senior (4) while also handling kickoff returns. That combination of instincts, toughness, and special-teams value makes him the kind of defender coaches love: reliable, physical, and able to tilt field position. He also had a knack for scoring in unusual ways, which says a lot about his football IQ and nose for chaos.
