No-Hitter Ace Powers UCF's Pitching Staff with Mental Toughness
UCF right-hander Lena Elkins, a transfer from Charlotte where she posted a stellar 3.33 ERA over two seasons (2023-2024) with 73 strikeouts, two no-hitters, and a .261 opponent average, has settled in during 2026 with a 5.32 ERA in 25 IP, two complete games, one shutout, and 14 K's across 12 appearances. Her differentiator? Ice-cold mentality—postgame clips reveal her laser-focus on 'attacking the zone' and trusting her defense, making her a clutch performer who steps up in high-pressure spots. Ideal for teams needing a battle-tested arm with poise beyond her stats.
