Elena Heng is a glove-first spark plug who still brings real table-setter value
In the 2026 season, Elena Heng was one of Louisiana Tech’s most dependable weapons: she started all 56 games in center field, earned Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year honors, and won her second straight Rawlings/NFCA Gold Glove after posting a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with 141 putouts and seven assists. At the plate, she hit .326 with 56 hits, led the team with 35 runs and 12 stolen bases, and showed real pressure-speed impact. If your team wants elite defense, consistency, and a relentless energy player, she fits.
