Jake Blackwell is McNeese’s workhorse lefty with swing-and-miss stuff
In the 2026 season, Jake Blackwell has emerged as a key McNeese arm, going 6-0 with a 3.16 ERA and 30 strikeouts in 2026, while the McNeese roster also lists him at 62.2 innings with 72 strikeouts and a 5.05 ERA, showing he has taken on real volume as a senior left-handed pitcher.[3][7] At 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, the lefty profile gives him matchup value, and his debut outing for McNeese showed immediate swing-and-miss ability with six strikeouts in five innings.[1][3]
