Veteran Spartans linebacker with roots, discipline, and special-teams grit
Isaiah Ossai is a San Jose State linebacker whose value has long come from reliability, football family pedigree, and doing the dirty work — in 2018 he logged 7 tackles in 8 games, mostly on special teams, after a redshirt year in 2017, and his SJSU bio notes he was competing for linebacker playing time while earning Mountain West All-Academic recognition. His differentiators are toughness, assignments-first play, and experience in the program; he’s the kind of low-drama, high-trust defender coaches like when they want a steady fit rather than a headline hunter.
