a physical Furman linebacker with all-state pedigree and downhill edge
McBride arrived at Furman as a decorated Georgia defender, earning 2A South Georgia Defensive Player of the Year and AJC all-state honors after leading Vidalia to an 11-1 season in 2022. He profiles as a 6-2, 203-pound linebacker with a strong competitive motor, tackling instincts, and the kind of field-straightening physicality coaches love in the middle of a defense. If you need a tone-setter who brings proven production, toughness, and a no-nonsense mentality, he’s the type worth caring about.
