Justin Cooper brings a compact, physical linebacker profile to Samford
Justin Cooper is a 6-foot-0, 208-pound outside linebacker who was rated by 247Sports as a national recruit, giving Samford a disciplined, athletic defender with clear frame and versatility upside.[1] His recruiting profile also lists him as a linebacker/receiver athlete, which points to useful movement skills and open-field comfort that can translate to special teams and sub-package value.[2] I do not see reliable recent game-stat production in the provided sources, so the best read is on traits: he looks like a developmental fit for a defense that wants speed, range, and toughness at linebacker rather than a pure bulk-and-bash thumper.[1][2]
