Brisco Smith is an Oklahoma bullpen arm with closer buzz and freshman poise
In the 2026 season, Brisco Smith made just two appearances for Oklahoma, but the buzz around him is the real story: a right-handed pitcher from Duncan High who was viewed as a closer candidate before and during his freshman year. He debuted at Arkansas and later worked 0.2 innings against Georgia Tech in the NCAA Atlanta Regional, showing early trust in high-leverage spots. The differentiator is his competitive profile — a local Oklahoma product with swing-and-throw versatility and late-inning upside, which makes him a fit for teams wanting a tough, developing bullpen piece rather than a polished stat-sheet star.
