Ole Miss RB with Modest Stats, Big Upside Potential
Ole Miss running back Lorenzo Townsend has posted 15 carries for 56 yards and 1 TD (3.7 YPC) in limited college action, signaling a raw but developing back from Monticello, MS, who's already turning heads as an under-the-radar talent in ESPN's Top 25 breakdowns. A multi-sport standout from Lawrence County High (Class of 2029 per recruiting profiles), his explosive energy, relentless drive, and versatility—flashing WR skills on Hudl—make him a high-motor differentiator poised for breakout reps. Ideal fit for teams needing depth with pop behind committees; watch for expanded role in 2026.
