Cian Copeland brings JUCO pop, but Miami is still waiting for the full-D1 breakout
Copeland arrives with real upside: in the 2025 season at Miami-Dade College, he hit .361 with 15 home runs, 51 RBI, a .449 on-base percentage and 10 steals, and early in the 2026 season he flashed impact with a three-run homer and a big two-run double for Miami. The flip side? His D1 production was uneven, and his role shrank as the season went on, so he looks more like a power bat with run-producing upside than a finished product. If a team wants physicality and juice in the lineup, he’s interesting; if it wants a polished, everyday certainty, the jury is still out.
