Asa Briggs brings size, strike-throwing upside, and closing instincts to NMSU
Asa Briggs, a 2025 Nevada right-hander at New Mexico State, arrives with real pedigree: he was ranked the No. 3 right-handed pitcher in Nevada and posted a 7-2 senior season with a no-hitter, a 2.78 ERA, and 54 strikeouts in 40.1 innings. At 6-foot-5 with a long, lean frame, he offers projectable velocity and the kind of mound presence that plays in late-game spots. He’s the type of arm worth betting on if you want upside, innings growth, and a competitive edge.
