Experienced YSU wideout with size, continuity, and senior leadership
Jake Cummings is a 6-2, 195-pound former Canfield standout who spent five seasons in Youngstown State’s receiver room, giving the Penguins a seasoned, local product with real program familiarity[5]. His roster history shows steady development from 2017 through 2021, but Youngstown State’s available roster record does not list current season stats for him, so the safest read is that his value was more about reliability, physicality, and depth than headline-grabbing production[5]. For a team, that usually means a smart, low-drama fit: a receiver who understands the system, brings mature presence, and can help the room without needing the offense built around him[5].
