Trusted lefty arm, late-game value for Jax State
In the 2026 season, Chase Horst emerged as a reliable bullpen weapon for Jacksonville State, posting a 2.00 ERA with 23 strikeouts, 14 walks, and only six earned runs allowed in 27 innings, plus a 3-1 record and two saves[1]. The big takeaway: he’s a strike-throwing, matchup-friendly lefty who stayed calm enough to hold down high-leverage spots, and he didn’t allow an earned run until May 8[1][3]. If your team wants a seasoned LHP who can get outs in pressure innings, Horst looks like a smart fit[1][8].
