Justin Nunez brings versatile, under-the-radar toughness to Columbia’s defense
Justin Nunez is a senior defensive back/linebacker-type piece for Columbia who has drawn praise for being a physical, do-your-job player and for making a smooth move to linebacker after working at corner, strong safety, and nickelback. Columbia’s own roster notes call out his strong spring and coaches have highlighted his quiet, reliable approach, which suggests a player who helps raise the floor of a defense with versatility and discipline rather than flash. He looks like the kind of glue guy a staff can trust if it wants speed, physicality, and adaptability.
