Leon Johnson III: 6'5" Undrafted WR with Solid 2023 Stats Now Seeking NFL Opportunity
Leon Johnson III, a 6'5", 207-lb Oklahoma State WR, delivered a solid 2023 season with 33 receptions, 539 yards, and 1 TD, ranking third on the team in receiving yards. As a Division III transfer from George Fox, his standout performance made him unlikely to redshirt, showcasing elite size and reliable hands. Though declared for the 2024 NFL Draft and signed as an undrafted free agent with the Los Angeles Chargers, he was waived in August 2024, indicating high intensity but early NFL hurdles. His differentiator is his rare height for a WR, combined with a gritty, team-first personality and proven production against college competition. Care about him because he offers a unique big-target option with NFL experience; he's a good fit for teams needing a deep-threat WR who can win in the air and block effectively, especially if they value size and resilience over immediate star status.
