Frankie Griffin brings veteran, playmaking linebacker production to Texas State
Frankie Griffin’s Texas State résumé is built on steady tackling, backfield disruption, and big-play instincts: in the 2018 season he posted 71 total tackles, 8 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, and 3 forced fumbles, and in 2019 he added 55 tackles plus a blocked PAT and a fumble recovery. The headline trait is urgency—he plays like a linebacker who knows where the ball is going before the offense does. He looks like a fit for teams valuing toughness, special-teams impact, and instinctive downhill pursuit.
