Elijah Shelton gives UNLV a veteran, disruptive front-seven presence
In the 2023 season, Elijah Shelton posted 31 total tackles, 19 solo stops, 1 sack and 2 forced fumbles for UNLV, building on a career that includes 75 tackles and 3 forced fumbles in his Rebels stint—production that shows he plays with a punch and can create momentum-shifting plays[1][2]. He’s a senior-sized defender at roughly 6-foot-2 and 230-plus pounds, and UNLV’s own notes describe him as a returning starter and former Pac-12 transfer, which tells you he brings experience, physicality and some real football mileage[3][8]. If your team wants an older linebacker who can fit the run, flash in the backfield and bring a steady, no-drama edge, Shelton is the kind of piece coaches love to plug into the middle of the defense[1][2][8].
