Davidson's Walk-On Grit Machine Turned Coach Phenom
Ryan Ansel, a 6-2 guard who walked on at Davidson in 2013-14 after three years as manager, contributed to an elite 89-44 record including NIT and two NCAA Tournaments, showcasing relentless work ethic and basketball IQ. Now 32 and thriving as #1-ranked HS coach in 2020 with DIII national finals runs, his differentiator is elite player development and championship pedigree—perfect for teams seeking intense, proven leaders over raw stats. Injury-free tenacity makes him a culture-fit gem.
