McNeese’s old-school post who brought real bite in the paint
Burbridge was a 6-foot post from Melbourne who became a fan favorite at McNeese from 2000-03, and her calling card was simple but effective: score inside, rebound hard, and protect the rim. In the 2002-03 season, she posted 27 points in one overtime win, was honored as the Southland Conference women’s basketball Student-Athlete of the Year, and was later described by McNeese as a standout who led the Cowgirls in just about every department. If you want a physical, high-motor interior anchor with toughness and leadership, she’s the kind of player coaches remember.
