Experienced Western Michigan safety with proven ball skills
Demetrius Pettway brings veteran defensive-back instincts, with a background that includes 147 career tackles, 3 interceptions, 7 pass breakups, and 4 forced fumbles in his college career, plus a reputation as a former three-star high school safety who was trusted as a playmaker and return threat.[1][2] His differentiator is versatility: he has shown he can make tackles in space, read routes, and generate turnovers, which makes him a fit for a defense that values reliable coverage and disruptive finishing. The main question is current availability and role, since the publicly available Western Michigan bio does not list current-season stats.[1]
