Melesungu Afeaki brings bench scoring punch and physical frontcourt energy to Saint Mary’s
Afeaki is a useful frontcourt fit for Saint Mary’s because she has shown she can provide instant offense off the bench, including 10 points in the Gaels’ 57-50 loss to Washington State in the 2025-26 regular-season finale.[1] Her current season line has been modest at 3.3 points and 1.5 rebounds per game, but her value is in giving the team a physical, active forward who can score in short bursts and has already proven she can handle meaningful minutes at the college level.[5] She is not yet a high-volume stat accumulator, but her production profile suggests a role player with upside if a team needs toughness and depth up front.[4][5]
