Radford’s Mason Hatcher brings live arm and local-edge upside to the mound
Mason Hatcher is a South Boston, Virginia native and redshirt sophomore right-hander at Radford, listed at 6-foot-3, 195 pounds, with a profile that screams projectable strength and starter potential[1][2]. In the 2026 season, he logged a save against High Point but also took tough decisions in other outings, a reminder that his impact is still being shaped at the Division I level[12][11][14]. The differentiator here is upside: local recruiting story, size, and a pitcher’s frame that suggests more velocity and innings can still come, which makes him intriguing if your team values development and long-term rotation bets[1][13].
