Kent State's Gritty JUCO Transfer LB with Proven Tackling Pedigree
Jake Houts, a 6'1", 225 lb linebacker for Kent State Golden Flashes in 2013, logged 4 tackles across 10 games primarily on special teams as a junior transfer from Fullerton College, showcasing hustle and reliability in limited reps.[5][7] His differentiator shines from high school roots—likely echoing family toughness like relative Kevin Houts, who battled back from injury to notch 4.5 sacks in 2015[4]—hinting at resilient intensity ideal for MAC defenses. Care about him for that under-the-radar motor; he's a special teams ace with starter upside for teams needing tough, versatile LBs.
