Dual-threat upside with a live arm and room to grow
In the 2025 season, Marcelis Tate is still more projection than production at South Florida, but his profile is intriguing: a 6-foot-2 quarterback with a strong arm, run-game value, and a track record of posting big high-school numbers, including 1,642 passing yards and 430 rushing yards as a senior in 2023. He was a three-star recruit and stayed committed through USF’s coaching change, which hints at some loyalty and toughness. The fit? A developmental QB with athletic juice and real upside, but he’s not yet a proven college difference-maker.
