Mark Hughes brings defense-first grit and steady point-guard instincts to Wright State
Mark Hughes is a 6-4 guard from Youngstown who built his Wright State résumé on toughness, playmaking, and a defensive edge that earned him Horizon League All-Defensive Team recognition in the 2017-18 season. His college stat profile shows a versatile, low-mistake connector: in his final Wright State season, he averaged 9.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists while shooting 75% from the field and 33% from three. The fit is obvious for teams wanting a physical, reliable two-way guard who does the dirty work, sets the tone, and won’t get rattled by the moment.
