Ta’John Royster brings all-purpose juice to Youngstown State’s backfield
Freshman RB Ta’John Royster enters 2026 as a compact, versatile playmaker for Youngstown State, listed at 5-10, 180 and already carrying a high-school résumé that screams multi-use spark: 1,707 all-purpose yards, 13 touchdowns, 502 kickoff-return yards, and first-team All-Ohio Division IV honors in his senior season. That blend of open-field burst, return value, and defensive tenacity (47 tackles) suggests a tough, high-motor competitor rather than a one-note runner. If you want a back who can add explosion to your offense and special teams, he’s a fun fit.
