Missouri State’s Isaac Umesi brings verified speed, size, and early long-shot upside at corner
Isaac Umesi is a 5-foot-10, 175-pound freshman cornerback for Missouri State in the 2026 season, and his calling card is the classic DB blend of verified quickness and recruiting pedigree: he was a Texas Class 5A first-team all-district performer and was noted for 4.4 speed and a 33-inch vertical coming out of Richland High. That profile screams “competitive outside cover man” with enough burst to mirror routes and trigger downhill, making him an intriguing fit if a staff wants an athlete who can develop into an attack-minded, physical corner.
