App State's Sophomore Power Bat Heating Up with .325 AVG & 2 HRs in 2026
Ethan Puig, a 6'0" right-handed infielder from Miami, is thriving as App State's starting 3B in 2026, slashing .325 with 2 HRs, 25 RBI, and 27 runs—showcasing elite exit velo (96.6 mph max) and arm strength (81 mph INF velo) from his prep days. A quick 6.92-7.85 60-yard runner with soft hands and present power, Puig's USA Baseball pedigree (15U RBI leader with 7) and NECBL experience highlight his clutch hitting and defensive reliability, making him a high-upside fit for power-needy lineups eyeing mid-major transfers or pro potential.
