Sam Hurd was a Huskies big-play machine, not a current NIU WR
Sam Hurd’s defining college season came in 2005, when he posted 65 receptions for 1,074 yards and 13 touchdowns for Northern Illinois, finishing with 143 career catches, 2,322 yards, and 21 scores as one of the school’s all-time receiving leaders.[1][8] He stood out as a high-volume, vertical threat with proven touchdown production and the kind of competitive edge that showed up in his monster games, but he is not a current Northern Illinois player — he’s a former Huskies star and later NFL receiver.[1][3][7]
