Samiya Steele is Jax State’s steady, pass-first guard with real two-way value
In the 2024-25 season, Samiya Steele averaged 5.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, and a team-best 2.5 assists per game for Jacksonville State, while starting 21 of 28 games and lifting her shooting efficiency from the previous year. She’s a 5-8 guard who brings organization, composure, and enough versatility to help a team without needing the ball constantly. The standout: she was recognized with the 2024-25 CUSA Winter Spirit of Service Award, a nice tell that her impact goes beyond box scores.
