NMSU Rebounding Beast Turned Pro Hustler
Johnny McCants, a 6'7" forward from New Mexico State, dominated the 2021-22 season with 10.0 PPG, 6.1 RPG (7th in WAC), and a league-leading 2.9 offensive rebounds per game, capping it with iconic moments like an 18-rebound explosion vs. Seattle U and a half-court buzzer-beater vs. Grand Canyon. Undrafted in 2022, he's thrived professionally—averaging 9.8 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.6 blocks (elite efficiency at 59.9% FG, 8th in TBL), and lately 8.8 points, 6.8 boards with Potawatomi Fire in 2023-24. Fearless rebounder with steal/block flair and perfect-shooting double-doubles; ideal for teams needing gritty, high-motor frontcourt depth.
