Evion Rodriguez brings fresh-armed infield depth to Southern
Evion Rodriguez is a freshman infielder on Southern’s 2026 baseball roster, listed at 5'9", 190 pounds and bats/throws right-handed[1]. The public roster does not show season stats yet, so the best read is that he’s an early-career depth piece with room to grow rather than a proven production anchor[1]. What makes him intriguing is the classic infield profile: compact build, right-handed balance, and the kind of developmental upside coaches value when they’re looking for grinder energy and future versatility. If you want a long-term fit, he’s a watch-list type with upside.
