UNLV's Oakland Edge Commit with Pass-Rush Firepower
Heivaha Mafi, a hard-charging weak-side defensive end from Oakland's Redwood Christian High School, committed to UNLV Rebels, bringing explosive pass-rush ability and relentless intensity that earned him Player of the Game honors in high school clashes like Delta and Oakdale[1][4][5]. His differentiator is raw athleticism and motor—think non-stop disruption off the edge, perfect for teams needing a high-energy DE to collapse pockets. No major injury flags, just pure hustle; he's a gem for UNLV's D-line rebuild if he bulks up and adapts to college speed[2]. Why care? Future sack artist in waiting.
