Veteran, high-upside DL with Hawaii roots and proven disruptive flashes
Kukea Emmsley brings verified size and experience to Northern Arizona: he entered college as a 6-5, 253-pound defensive lineman from Kapolei and was ranked among Hawaii’s better prospects out of high school, including a three-star label from major recruiting outlets.[1][2] His most eye-catching college stretch came in the 2021 season, when he played in 10 games and logged 6 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, 1 sack, a quarterback hurry, and a forced fumble plus recovery on a game-ending play against Southern Utah.[2] The appeal here is clear: length, power, and occasional backfield disruption with a proven “finish the play” edge.[1][2]
