Rashamel Butler brings two-way guard toughness and rebound pop to South Carolina State
Rashamel Butler is the kind of guard coaches notice because he plays bigger than the label suggests: at 6-4, 205, he offers physicality, board work, and a steady all-around game that previously showed up in his 2022-23 season at Pfeiffer, when he averaged 10.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.3 assists while starting 21 of 22 games. He fits teams that value toughness, versatility, and effort over flash—think extra possessions, defensive pressure, and a player willing to do the dirty work. The caution flag: his outside shooting was inconsistent in that stretch, so his best value comes when he’s attacking, defending, and impacting the glass.
