Redshirt Freshman RHP with a Fresh Arm and Projectable Frame
Sander Lucas is a 6'0", 199-pound right-hander for Indiana State who redshirted in 2025 and entered 2026 as a redshirt freshman, so the arrow is still pointing up on his development[1]. In Indiana State’s 2026 stats, he logged just 1.0 inning with 2 strikeouts and 1 run allowed, a tiny sample that says more about his early role than his ceiling[3]. The appeal here is upside: a sturdy build, a fresh arm, and room to grow into a useful strike-throwing piece if his command tightens. If a staff wants a low-mileage pitcher to develop, he’s a plausible fit[1].
