Cody Templeton is SFA’s workhorse lefty with a bulldog track record
In the 2026 season, Cody Templeton has been Stephen F. Austin’s tone-setter on the mound, opening Southland play with seven strong innings against UTRGV and later improving to 5-1 after a seven-inning, eight-strikeout gem against McNeese. He’s a 6-foot, 197-pound senior left-hander whose appeal goes beyond the box score: in the 2025 season he led SFA in innings, posted three complete games, and showed elite strike-throwing command with just 1.33 walks per nine. If you want a durable, competitive starter who can carry a staff, he’s your guy.
